Triticum better known as Wheat, is one of the staple cereal crops, grown all over the world.

Wheat is being cultivated from 10,000 years. It was first cultivated on the lands of Egypt in the valley of Euphrates and Tigris.

Wheat is a staple food for numerous countries, with its cultivation all over all the globe. China tops this followed by India.

Wheat cultivation is an easy process as it can be grown in various types of soil, and in between a wide range of temperature.

Seeds of wheat are sowed in the fields during November and then harvesting is done after five to six months.

Wheat is then grinded and sent as whole wheat flour, white flour, semolina and other products.

Wheat has a lot of carbs, protein and fibre. It also comes packed with vitamins and minerals. It can also, aid in protection against colon cancer.
